Hello In There (75/365)

Hello In There - John Prine: What a lovely, yet sad song. Such passion and pain in John's words. He writes so profoundly. I'm not sure what is going on in this video between Michael and Natalie (any guesses?), but their voices are clearly two of the finest in the business.

We had an apartment in the city,
Me and Loretta liked living there.
Well, it'd been years since the kids had grown,
A life of their own left us alone.
John and Linda live in Omaha,
And Joe is somewhere on the road.
We lost Davy in the Korean war,
And I still don't know what for, don't matter anymore.

Beautiful song. Always a little rough to listen to.

That was fantastic. And I'm not a purist, I liked the two of them singing it together.
