U-Li-La-Lu (51/365)

U-Li-La-Lu - Poi Dog Pondering: Mike's song because he wears with pride the scars on his skin. Chicago-based Poi is a pure treat to see live. These lyrics (and LP) are some of my all time favorites. What happens after hearing it? It happily sticks in my head all day.

You should wear with pride the scars on your skin
They're a map of the adventures and the places you've been
"Praise God," he said lifting his drink.
"And the devil too!" you said with a wink.
Hey Woody Guthrie! Hey Marc Chagall!
There's far too many of you to thank you all
But I wanna talk about the gift that you gave
I'm so happy about the gift that you gave!
(A friend of mine once said....
"If you're ever around when someone dies,
look up and wave, they'll get a big kick out of it.")
If I should die in a car wreck,
may I have Van Morrison on my tape deck

Darn, I can't hear it because I'm not in the U.S. I'm going to try and find it on YouTube.

It is on YouTube just type in the title. I hope you like it as much as Indigo and me.

I've never heard this band (until now) but our neighbor had a Poi Dog on her license plate - she was of Japanese ancestry but born in Hawaii.
